Isopropyl ethyl thionocarbamate (IPET or IPETC) is a dark brown or amber colored liquid with an oily consistency. It dissolves partially in water and has a density of 990 - 1004 kg/m3. IPETC is a powerful chemical reagent used to foam copper, lead, zinc, molybdenum, and other metal sulfide ores. It has a poor collector for pyrite but excellent selectivity for copper and separation efficiency.
